Overall, it was another enjoyable day fishing Herne Bay, even if the fish weren't quite the size we were hoping for! Finding a couple of tiny bass and the 27cm spotty “plounder” at least kept me from joining Connor on the blank. 😂

The best part of the session, though, was meeting some of you. Paul came over and spent a good part of the day sitting and chatting with us, while Dave and Ian also stopped by to say hello while fishing further down the beach. Moments like that genuinely mean a lot to us and are exactly what we hoped Tides & Tribe would become — not just about catching fish, but about family, getting outdoors and meeting good people along the way.

We could have done without the little disagreement with the rowers, especially when Connor eventually got snagged, but that's all part of the day's story. A bit of consideration for everyone enjoying the coastline goes a long way.

Most importantly, we got out of the house, spent another day together by the sea and came home with another fishing memory — and that's never a wasted trip in our book.
