Dungeness | Fishing the Beach 25th June 2025

After a few years away, we decided it was time to return to Dungeness for another night of sea fishing. And while it had been a while since our last visit, the excitement of being back on the water made it feel like no time had passed at all.

As always, we want to note that these early posts are recaps of past trips, so they’re a little lighter on detail than future posts. Moving forward, we’ll be sharing more in-depth tips, techniques, and insights from each adventure.

The night was action-packed, but the catches were… very consistent. It was pretty much dogfish on repeat, giving us what we’ve affectionately started calling a “Dungy Dogfest”! Despite the lack of variety, it was still an amazing night out — the thrill of each bite, the sound of the waves, and the company made it one of those trips you remember.

While the dogfish may have dominated the rods, the laughter, the shared stories, and the joy of fishing together made it an incredible experience. Nights like this are what remind us that sea fishing isn’t just about the size or type of fish — it’s about the adventure and the memories you make along the way.

Catch Report

Between us way too many dogfish to keep track of, we estimate at least 50, we also had 1 pouting each but literally was a dungy dogfest
