Hythe | Fishing West Parade Beach 17th July 2025
After several years away, we decided it was time to return to Hythe for a night of sea fishing. Normally, we stick to the Preston Parade to Twiss Point area, but this time we wanted to try something different — and ended up at West Parade, where free parking right next to the beach made getting set up a breeze.

The night at Hythe was fantastic. We had some good action and even caught a couple of fish to bring home for dinner — including 1 smooth hound and 1 Dover sole, which made for a tasty meal!

Connor: 2 Dover sole, 2 smooth hounds, 1 thornback ray
It was an amazing night, full of variety and fun, reminding us why we love sea fishing so much. There’s something special about discovering a new spot, testing the waters, and walking away with memories — and fish — in hand.
