After the previous day's session at Herne Bay, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was worth going straight back for another try. So, despite having only just packed everything away, I managed to drag Connor back to the exact same spot the following day. š
I was convinced I'd made the right call.
Turns out I hadn't!

This time Connor had the better session, managing a couple of little schoolie bass and even foul hooking a tiny bait fish, which we decided to send back out as bait in the hope that something considerably bigger might find it.
Unfortunately, nothing did ā and for me it was a complete blank!

Still, that's sea fishing. You can fish the same mark on consecutive days and get completely different results, and that's part of what keeps us coming back. It wasn't the action-packed session I'd convinced myself it was going to be, but it was another lovely day spent together on the beach, and we'd take that over sitting at home any day.
You can watch the full video from our second day fishing Herne Bay below and see whether dragging Connor back for another go was really worth it! š£š
